Bobby Colantonio Ready For A Return To The Hammer

By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Bobby Colantonio has beaten the odds so far in his fight against Ewing's sarcoma, the cancer that put his life at risk after a standout high school career as a hammer thrower at Barrington High in Rhode Island.

DYESTAT STORY FROM LAST AUGUST

Colantonio hopes to be cleared to throw for the University of Alabama by next winter and said his goal of competing for a spot in the 2020 Olympic Games is back on.

This story, by Lifespan, reports that Colantonio, who turned 20 in May, has been hitting the weight room and increased his squat life to 565 pounds.
