Katelyn Tuohy Sits Out New York Section 1 Championships With Knee InjuryBy Adam Kopet North Rockland NY won its fourth straight New York Section 1 Championships girls title Saturday. However, the team did so without standout junior Katelyn Tuohy, who has been temporarily sidelined with knee tendinitis, according to Nancy Haggerty of the Rockland/Westchester Journal News. North Rockland was instead led by Haleigh Morales, who finished second in the Class A 5-kilometer race, running 19:34. Despite Tuohy's sitting out to rest her knee, she is eligible to rejoin North Rockland's lineup this Saturday at the New York State Meet. The New York Federation Championships come next, on Nov. 17. Foot Locker Northeast and NXR New York are both scheduled for Nov. 24. |
