Speed Shines in This Week's Performance of the Week List

Speed was the name of the game this week, whether it came in the form of fast times on a flat 200-meter track or at the end of the cross country race. We saw top performances at the Camel City Invitational and at the USATF Cross Country Championships. View the choices and vote for the final 2018 DyeStat Performance of the Week!

Shuaib Aljabaly: The Wisconsin freshman won the junior men's race at the USATF Cross Country Championships by four seconds, running 24:39 for 8K. (Results). Watch the race.

Ashton Allen: The high school junior from Bullis MD won the 400 meters at the Reykjavik International Games in a US#2 47.70. (Results).

Kenny Bednarek: The Indian Hills Community College freshman ran a collegiate-leading 20.30 for 200 meters at Frank Sevigne Husker Indoor Invitational. (Results).

Nicole Clermont: The Boston College freshman won the junior women's race at the USATF Cross Country Championships by five seconds, running 21:14 for 6K. (Results). Watch the race.

Shelby Houlihan: The distance runner won the senior women's race at the USATF Cross Country Championships by nine seconds, running 32:47 for 10K. (Results). Watch the race.

Shadrack Kipchirchir: The distance runner won the senior men's race at the USATF Cross Country Championships in a sprint finish, running 28:53 for 10K. (Results). Watch the race.

Trey Knight: The high school junior from Ridgefield WA extended his prep lead in the 25-pound weight throw at the Nike Boise Indoor with a mark of 80-5 (24.51m). He also won the shot put with a mark of 57-10 (17.62m). (Results).

Clayton Murphy: The middle-distance runner ran the fastest 800 meters ever run on a flat 200-meter track at the Camel City Invitational, running 1:45.92. (Results). Watch the race.

Nicole Payne: The high school senior at Oak Mountain AL was a double winner at the Alabama State Indoor Championships, running a US#2 54.11 for 400 meters and US#9 7.54 for 60 meters. (Results).

Ajee' Wilson: The middle-distance runner ran the fastest 800 meters ever run on a flat 200-meter track at the Camel City Invitational, running 1:59.26 (Results). Watch the race.
