Paul Chelimo to Make His Half Marathon Debut in New York CityBy Adam KopetPaul Chelimo will make his half marathon debut March 17 at the United Airlines NYC Half, according to race organizers. The Olympic silver medalist over 5,000 meters has seen success on the roads of New York City before. He won the 2018 USATF 5K Championships in a course-record 13:45. Now he is stepping up in distance to the half marathon. Joining Chelimo will be defending champion Ben True, four-time Olympian Abdi Abdirahman and 2016 Olympian Jared Ward. Also in the field are the past two USATF Marathon champions Brogan Austin (2018) and Tim Ritchie (2017). The international contingent is led by Daniel Mesfun of Eritrea and Ken Nakayama of Japan.
