Kevin Hart YouTube Video Features Tara Davis, Ashton Eaton, Carmelita Jeter

World U-20 60-meter hurdles record-holder Tara Davis returned home to California recently, but it wasn’t for a track meet.

The Texas sophomore joined her club team, Code Black Elite, for a YouTube video featuring Olympic gold medalists Carmelita Jeter and Ashton Eaton, actor James Van Der Beek, and comedian Kevin Hart.

"The track team contacted me asking if I wanted to do a video with Kevin Hart,” Davis said. “Obviously I couldn’t turn down that offer. Hunter (Woodhall) and I were supposed to leave the day before the shoot to go to Las Vegas, but the opportunity was too good to say no to. How many people can say they were in a YouTube Video with Kevin Hart?”

The video, shot for Hart’s LOL Network on YouTube, was part of his “What The Fit” series. With the help and advice of coaches Jeter and Eaton, Hart takes on Van Der Beek in a decathlon-style competition.

Jeter started Hart off with a lesson in how to get out of the blocks.

“When the gun clicks, you explode,”  she said.

“Pow-pow,” Hart responded. “That’s right Tara, I’m going to smoke you.”

Davis, of course, proceeded to blow away the celebrities in their hurdles race.

“This was definitely one of the memorable moments,” Davis said. "It was so much fun running against someone you see on television that makes you laugh all the time!”
