Christian Coleman Will Not Start 100 Meters in Birmingham

GiveMeSport Athletics reports Christian Coleman has withdrawn from the Birmingham Diamond League Meeting.

Coleman had been set to race the 100 meters Sunday, an event that would have included two rounds. He is no longer on the entries list for the event.

No reason has been given for Coleman's withdrawal. He is the world leader this year at 9.81. Coleman's last races came at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, where he won the 100 meters and finished second in the 200 meters.

He is scheduled to race both the 100 and 200 at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships, which begin at the end of September.
