Matthew Boling: The Houston Strake Jesuit TX senior ran a wind aided 9.98 (+4.2m/s) 100 meters to win the UIL 6A Region III meet, making him the fastest all-conditions high school 100-meter runner ever. (Results) Bullis MD Boys: The quartet of Ashton Allen, Jay Pendarvis, Andre Turay and Ryan Willie broke the high school record in the indoor 4x400 relay at the VA Showcase, running 3:12.53. (Results) Chloe Cunliffe: The West Seattle WA senior broke the high school record for the indoor pole vault at PLPV Pole Vault All Comers Meet, clearing 14-9.25 (4.50m). (Results) DeSoto TX Girls: The quartet of Ja'Era Griffin, Jayla Hollis, Taylor Armstrong and Rosaline Effiong broke the high school record for the 4x100 relay at the Texas UIL 6A State Championships, running 44.24. (Results) Anna Hall: The Valor Christian CO senior won the heptathlon at the Pan American U-20 Championships with a score of 5,847 points, however due to a windy long lump, her official high school record is 5,829 points. (Results) Trey Knight: The Ridgefield WA junior broke the high school record for the weight throw (35lb) at the Washington Indoor Preview with a throw of 67-11.75 (20.72m). (Results) Athing Mu: The junior from New Jersey who competes for the Trenton Track Club won the 600 meters at the USATF Indoor Championships in an American record 1:23.57. (Results) Watch the race. Justin Robinson: The Hazelwood West MO junior won the 400 meters at the Great Southwest Classic in 44.84, good for second on the prep all-time list. (Results) Briana Williams: The Northeast (Oakland Park) junior broke the high school record in the 100 meters, running 10.94 for third at the Jamaican National Championships. (Results) Nico Young: The Newbury Park CA senior won Nike Cross Nationals with a Glendoveer Golf Course 5K record of 14:52, winning the race by 14 seconds. (Results) Watch the race. |
