1956 Olympic Hero Bobby Morrow Dies At 84Published by
11-Time World Record Breaker Was 'Fastest Man' In 1956 By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Bobby Morrow, a member of track and field royalty for his performance in the Melbourne Olympic Games in 1956, died on Saturday at the age of 84. Morrow, who grew up in the south Texas community of San Benito, won the 1956 gold medals in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 relay for the United States – a feat accomplished only by him, Jesse Owens, Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt.
