Nathan Neil’s ability to outsprint his opponents is what makes him such a dangerous competitor.

Many have tried to counter his moves at the end of races, but Saturday’s 3,000-meter event at the STCU West Coast Championships was, for everybody else, just another failed attempt to match him.

RESULTS/VIDEOS

The Bozeman MT senior threw down a 28.97-second last 200 split to pull away by 14 seconds in the end to win the boys race in a US#4 time of 8 minutes, 13.50 seconds on day one of the two-day meet at The Podium in Spokane.
