Williams College Freshman Alex Kemp Died Tuesday In Massachusetts By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor John Nepolitan photo The friends and family of 19-year-old Alex Kemp are mourning his death after a freak accident on a ski slope Monday at Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts. According to a report by Powder.com, the Williams College freshman went over an embankment and suffered trauma to his head. Kemp was taken to Berkshire Medical Center and then transferred to Bay State Medical Cente, where he died on Tuesday. Kemp competed for Williams College in cross country last fall and finished 63rd at the NCAA D3 Cross Country Championships on Nov. 23. He was the second finisher for the Ephs, who placed 10th. Prior to college, Kemp was a key member of the powerful high school cross country program at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, N.J. Kemp competed for CBA twice at Nike Cross Nationals. He was ninth at the New Jersey Meet of Champions cross country meet in 2023. More news |
