Christopher Morales Williams, a Bowerman Award finalist in 2024 after an oustanding two-year stint at Georgia, won the men's 400 meters in a time of 45.16 seconds. And Savannah Sutherland, who broke the NCAA record in the 400-meter hurdles in June for the University of Michigan, won the flat 400 in a time of 51.51. Zoe Sherar was second in 51.65. Audrey Leduc, the national record holder in the 100 meters, ran a meet record time of 11.04 seconds to win the semifinal and then 11.06 in the final. Sade McCreath was second in 11.09. World indoor champion Sarah Mitton won the women's shot put with 19.25 meters. All four of her legal throws would have won the competition. She fouled on her fifth and sixth attempts. Eniko Sara won the women's javelin title with a throw of 52.90m. In the men's 100 meters, Duan Asemota of Speed Academy won a close race over Aaron Brown, 10.12 to 10.13. Additionally, in the U20 category, Ryder Rattee of Running Room Alberta, ran a meet record time of 46.04 seconds in the 400. Tooni Ogunyeye ran a meet record 10.23 in the men's 100 meters. Olympic medalist Marco Arop advanced to the finals of the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:44.46 in the semifinal. More news |
