Quincy Wilson Announces He's Staying Close To Home And Signing With MarylandPublished by
Bullis Senior And Olympic Gold Medalist Chooses Terrapins By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor The long-awaited and much anticipated college decision of Bullis School MD star Quincy Wilson was revealed on Monday with an Instagram post on @SportsCenterNext. Wilson broke the 42-year old national high school record in the boys 400 meters at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials when he ran 44.66 seconds as a sophomore. He has since lowered his best time to 44.10. Wilson was selected to the relay pool for the Paris Games after placing sixth in the U.S. final and he carried the baton in the preliminary round at the Olympic Games to earn his medal. In choosing Maryland over USC, UCLA and others, Wilson is staying close to home while joining their conference, The Big Ten. The Bullis School is located in Potomac, Md., where he has thrived under head coach Joe Lee. |
