Distance Standout Ann McNatt, Long Jumper Greg Foster Lead Tigers To Conference Titles

Anna McNatt of Princeton, the Ivy cross country champion, took the 3,000 meters title on Saturday and then came back to claim the 5,000 crown on Sunday a the Ivy Heps Indoor Championships at The Armory in New York City. 

McNatt ran 9:03.94 to win the 3,000 and break Kayley DeLay's meet record. In the 5,000, she won with 16:13.71. 

The Princeton women scored 188.5 points to win the conference title. Penn was second with 168 points. 

Harvard, led by Sophia Gorriaran's mile and 800 meters victories, was third with 88 points. 

Princeton's Greg Foster, the No. 2 long jumper in the nation, won that event on Saturday in a new meet record 27-0.50 and the was an upset winner in the 60-meter hurdles on Sunday.  

Charlie Ortmans of Harvard won a dramatic 3,000 meters on Saturday when the leader, overtaking a stumbling Brian  Boler of Princeton, in the last five meters. Ortmans' winning time was 7:55.38. Princeton went 2-3-4 in the race. 

Ortmans also won the 5,000 on Sunday in 13:40.51. Boler was second. 

Former New Jersey high school standout Joe Licata (Princeton) moved to No. 8 in the NCAA with a 19.71m (64-8) throw to win the shot put.  And Jessica Oji (Penn) broke a meet and Ivy League record moving to No. 4 in the NCAA with a winning throw of 18.50m (60-8.50). 

Fore Abinusawa (Penn) broke Gabby Thomas' Ivy League 60 meters record in the prelims on Saturday, running 7.22, and then she won the final in 7.25.  She returned to win the 200 in 23.30.

Gorriaran not only doubled the mile and 800, she ran the anchor leg on the runner-up 4x400.
