By Ron Knapp, Owner-Editor As the official start of the 2026 outdoor track & field season in Connecticut gets underway today with first practices by state teams, MySportsResults celebrates our 27th season helping coaches, athletes and fans to get ready with news, photos, results, and records of our state teams and student-athletes. With sponsorship help from Marathon Sports and New Balance, we continue to bring you free coverage of teams and athletes from meets across the state, in the region and on the national level.

As a partner service AthleticNET provides meet entry and results as well as state and national rankings for all registered athletes. AthleticNET is again the official service provider for all the CIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships this season. With the first official competition date of April 4th this season, the Events Calendar in AthleticNET provides links to regular season, invitational and championship meets. CIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships Similar to the last three years, all qualifying performances for the CIAC Class Championships must be posted in the AthleticNet. Seed marks and times from a meet in AthleticNET are only accepted for meets marked as official between the entry registration start date of 6:00 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2026 and the entry registration end date of 12:00 Noon on May 27, 2026. Complete information about all the CIAC Championships including the meet packet is available online at the CIAC website.
Help Us with Preview of your Individuals and Teams One of the tasks that Marty Ogden and I enjoy the most as the season starts is trying to predict the individuals and teams who will challenge for the division and state open championships at the end of this season. Our coverage will include girls and boys individuals and teams. Coaches can always help us by sending their team and individual outlook to us at both Marty Ogden at info@therunningacademy.com and Ron Knapp at mysportsresults@gmail.com before Sunday, April 5th. We hope you look forward to reading about those who get a nod by MySportsResults as we sort through the previous results and highlight who might be some of the top finishers later this season at the State Class and Open Championships slated for New Britain.
