Lincoln coach Eric Dettman and Ida B. Wells coach Thor Esbensen join DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss the Rose City Championships Invite, which will serve as the culminating event for the one-of-a-kind early spring cross country season that Oregon schools have endured the past month and a half. Dettman and Esbensen joined forces quickly after the OSAA canceled plans for a state championship and worked to create an event befitting a state meet for the runners in Oregon's largest classification. The meet will be held at Rose City Golf Club in the heart of Northeast Portland, which has never been the site of a cross country meet in its 98-year history.
