Former Texas A&M All-American Jacob Wooten won the men's elite competition with a second-attempt clearance at a lifetime-best 19-0.25 (5.80m) at the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit at Reno Livestock Events Center. Wooten, who edged former Akron All-American Matt Ludwig based on fewer misses at earlier heights, last appeared at the event in 2015, winning the boys high school elite competition representing Tomball High in Texas with a 17-foot (5.18m) clearance.
