Capers Williamson and Donavon Banks, training partners and representing U.S. Javelin Project, finished second and third, respectively, in the men's javelin throw final at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field in Oregon. Williamson had a second-round effort of 261 feet (79.57m) and Banks achieved an opening-round mark of 259-9 (79.19m).
