Parvej Khan, a freshman at Florida representing India, won the men's 1,500-meter title in 3:42.73 at the Southeastern Conference Championships at Percy Beard Track in Gainesville. Khan, who became the first Florida male athlete to capture the 1,500 crown since 1983, also took third in the 800 final in 1:46.80. He also followed Moroccan competitor Anass Essayi of South Carolina in sweeping the indoor mile title and outdoor 1,500 crown in the same year after Essayi achieved the feat last season.
