Parker Valby, a senior at Florida, repeated as women's 5,000-meter winner by clocking meet and facility records of 15:07.86 at the Southeastern Conference Championships at Percy Beard Track in Gainesville. Valby followed two-time winner Mercy Chelangat of Alabama, a Kenyan competitor, by winning back-to-back championships. She is the first Florida female athlete to win consecutive 5,000 crowns since Shelly Steely in 1984-85.
