Reigning Foot Locker Cross Country champion Elizabeth Leachman from Boerne Champion TX sits down with DyeStat's Keenan Gray to discuss her upcoming junior year, entering the fall as the No. 1 ranked runner in the DyeStat Early-Season Cross Country Individual Rankings on the girls side.

Coming off one of the most historic years in prep history, featuring national records set in the 3,200- and the indoor and outdoor 5,000-meter races, Leachman talks about what she hopes to replicate from her sophomore year from an individual and team perspective, how she handled adversity throughout the entire year and how the sport of running has gotten so much better over the last few years.

Leachman has already raced twice this fall and won both contests. She opened up her season at the Westlake Chaparral Invitational on August 23, running 16 minutes, 32.5 seconds for the 5-kilometer race, then followed with a 16:39.2 5k effort at the SA Patriots CC Invitational on August 31.
