Hood River Valley High (Oregon) graduating seniors Eva Jones and Celia Acosta join DyeStat editor Doug Binder to talk about their activism and how they fight for the causes they believe in. In school, they were both part of a group that fought for equal space and access to locker rooms. Jones, as a sophomore, testified before Congress on school shootings and gun control. As the local chapter president of GirlUp, Jones has also organized on behalf of women's issues and has traveled to Switzerland as part of the World Economic Forum. Along with her friend, Acosta, they are supporting the peaceful demonstrations in their small mostly white town related to the Black Lives Matter protests and working to build an anti-racist movement in rural Oregon.
