Coach Aris has been the Director and Head Coach of the Fayetteville-Manlius Cross Country, Track & Field Programs since 1998. Under his guidance the FM running program has turned into the most elite high school program in American history.  

In the Boys Cross Country program his teams have won numerous league and sectional team and individual championships. The won NYSPHSAA Team Cross Country Championships in 1997, 2004, 2005, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2018, and 2019.  NYSPHSAA Individual race champions 1997, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014.  At the NXN Nike Cross Nationals his boys team has finished 2nd in 2004, 2010, and 2017, while most notably winning the NXN National Championship in 2014.

For the Girls Cross Country program his teams have won many league and sectional championships.  The have won the NYSPHSAA Class A State Cross Country Championships every year 2006-2017 & 2019.  Along with having State Individual Race Champions 1999, 2002, 2009, 2010, 2015.  Of course this team is most known for their record 11 Nike Cross National Championships 2006-2012 and 2014-2017.  

The Fayetteville-Manlius Cross Country program was recognized as the ESPN High School Powerade Fab 50 National Champions in 2010 and 2011
