800 United members and World U-20 record holders in the 4x800-meter relay Bailey Goggans (Marble Falls, Texas), Sophia Gorriaran (Moses Brown, Rhode Island), Juliette Whittaker (Mount de Sales, Maryland) and Roisin Willis (Stevens Point, Wisconsin) join DyeStat's Mary Albl to recap their all-time mark of 8:37.20 on Jan. 17 at The Virginia Showcase in Virginia Beach. The quartet all ran Jan. 16 in the invitational 800, with Whittaker earning her U.S. Olympic Trials qualifying standard by winning in 2:02.07, then joined forces the following day to eclipse the 1991 absolute record of 8:37.71 established by Jamaica's Vere Tech at the Penn Relays. Goggans ran both races, despite nursing a tendon injury in her left foot in recent weeks.
