Nike professional athlete Raven Saunders, the 2017 U.S. outdoor champion in the shot put and a three-time NCAA Division 1 champ in the event during her career at Ole Miss, joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss her 64-2.50 (19.57m) fourth-round performance Feb. 21 at the final American Track League event at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Ark. Saunders edged fellow Nike athlete Maggie Ewen, who had a mark of 64-1.25 (19.54m) in the second round, as they became the first American pair to both surpass the 64-foot mark in the same indoor competition. Saunders also shares her new role as throws coach at NCAA Division 2 program West Alabama.
