Oklahoma State senior Alex Maier joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to disuss his recent 8-kilometer victory in 23:16.9 at the OSU Cowboy Jamboree and his fitness heading into the 2022 collegiate cross country season. Maier was the second-place finisher in the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships 10,000-meter final last June in Eugene. He also discusses his high school days at Flower Mound TX, which included one year as teammates with Natalie Cook, who also attends Oklahoma State and won the women's 6-kilometer race in 20:17.1 at the Cowboy Jamboree.
