Veronica Fraley, a senior at Vanderbilt, became the first female athlete in program history to win the discus throw crown at the Southeastern Conference Championships with a lifetime-best effort of 206-2 (62.84m) in the sixth round at LSU's Bernie Moore Track and Field Stadium in Baton Rouge. Fraley elevated to the No. 13 all-time collegiate competitor.
