Quenton Lanese Champion Boys 11-12 3000m - USATF National Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships 2023

Quenton Lanese, who recently completed the sixth grade and is representing Barron Park Striders in Olympia, Wash., won the boys 11-12 division 3,000-meter title in 9:26.59 at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Lanese lowered his own USATF National Junior Olympic Championships record after clocking 9:31.17 last year at Sacramento State. Lanese ran 9:15.18 on July 9 at the Region 13 Championships at Mt. Tahoma High.
