Kyle Garland Men's Finalist - The Bowerman - USTFCCCA Convention 2023

Kyle Garland of Georgia was one of three finalists for the men's Bowerman Award on Thursday in Aurora, Colo. Garland nearly broke Ashton Eaton's world record in the indoor heptathlon with his 6,639 points and then went on to finish second to co-finalist Leo Neugebauer of Texas in the outdoor decathlon. His 8,569 points at the SEC Championships and 8,630 points at the NCAA Championships are the fourth and second, respectively, in NCAA history.
