BYU's Creed Thompson joins DyeStat's Keenan Gray on the newest episode of DyeStat Discussions to talk about making his marathon debut on Sunday Oct. 12 at the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

In this episode, Thompson breaks down his training block leading up to the Chicago Marathon and what it's looked like that gives him the confidence of putting together a great debut. Training alongside Conner Mantz, Clayton Young, Casey Clinger and so many other great runners in the Run Elite Program group in Utah, Thompson is confident he can run near 2 hours, 10 minutes on the streets of Chicago on Sunday.

Thompson also reflects on his accomplishments in a BYU uniform, specifically this last school year when he helped the Cougars win a national title at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships and earned three All-American honors in cross country and indoor and outdoor track. Thompson was one of five student-athletes in the 2024-25 school year to earn All-American honors in all three sports.
