Nicole (Blood) Freitag, a member of the inaugural girls championship team at the 2004 Nike Team Nationals, joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss her experience as a member of Kinetic (Saratoga Springs NY) and how it felt to be part of a girls cross country dynasty that was named the best in the United States in 11 or 13 seasons leading up to the first national championship at Portland Meadows. This weekend, Dec. 6, is the 20th edition of Nike Cross Nationals. Freitag also shares her memories and perspective on the recent passing of Art Kranick, co-coach of historic Saratoga Springs program along with wife Linda. Freitag says Mr. Kranick was like "a second father to me."
