Mark Cullen joins DyeStat editor Doug Binder to talk about the historical track and field items in his collection and the new web site www.theguywiththeshoes.com. Cullen enrolled at the University of Oregon in 1971 and during his time in Eugene managed to acquire early shoe samples from coach Bill Bowerman and other shoes from the time period that marks the birth of Nike. Cullen has 270 items that he has been working to get displayed for others to enjoy, with detailed descriptions and historical notes to go with each piece. May 1 marks the 50th anniversary of Nike as a company, which was co-founded by Phil Knight and Bowerman. Cullen took Bowerman's Jogging/Phys Ed Class at Oregon.
