Since arriving at the University of Alabama as a freshman in 2023, Doris Lemngole has been a dominant force at the NCAA level. Lemngole not only owns the collegiate record in the 3000m steeplechase (8:58.15), is the two-time defending NCAA Cross Country champion, and won the 3000m and 5000m at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, but placed fifth in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2025 World Athletics Championships.

In this episode of Pending Ratification, host Keenan Gray sits down with the 2025 Bowerman Award winner to talk about her NCAA career to date, her journey from Kenya to the United States and transition to the collegiate athletics, balancing academics and sport, and her desire to inspire the next generation of young athletes.
