Kenneth Rooks, a Nike professional athlete, won his section of the 1,500 meters in 3:39.55 at the Sound Running Sunset Tour presented by Brooks at Occidental College's Jack Kemp Stadium in California. Rooks, the reigning U.S. champion in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, is competing in the event at the Paris Olympics along with fellow Brigham Young standout James Corrigan.
