Keturah Orji leads 4-medal effort
44-11 #2 a-t TJ for bronze, plus 3 silvers

TOP HIGHLIGHTS

  • G-Triple Jump Final: US#1 (#2 all-time) 44-11(+0.8w) BRONZE MEDAL jump by Mt. Olive NJ jr Keturah Orji. She had the longest U.S. jump in WYC history and equaled highest finish ever (Michelle Sanford bronze in '01). Her series also included 44-1.25 and 44-8
  • B-110m Hurdles Final: 13.24(-1.1w) SILVER MEDAL run by Hoover AL jr Marlon Humphrey, followed by Cummings NC jr Isaiah Moore 13.68 in 6th. It's the 2nd silver and 7th medal overall for Team USA in the 110H.
  • G-400m Dash Final: 53.38 SILVER MEDAL run by Columbia NJ jr Olivia Baker (already US#1 52.71). It's the 3rd silver and 6th medal overall for Team USA in the 400.
  • B-400m Dash Final: 46.46 SILVER MEDAL run by Bannaker GA soph Ryan Clark (already US#4 46.33). It's the 3rd silver and 5th medal overall for Team USA in the 400.
  • B-2000m Steeplechase Final: 5:45.87 for Coronado CO jr Bailey Roth in 7th (already US#1 5:45.20), the best 2kST finish ever for Team USA and #3 prep performance all-time
  • B-Triple Jump Qualifying: US#2 51-6.25(+1.5w) by El Paso Burges TX jr KeAndre Bates, qualifying 1st overall to the final. He becomes the 2nd furthest U.S. jumper in WYC history (Chrisian Taylor 2007)
  • G-800m Run Semis: 2:05.35 by Kincaid TX jr Raevyn Rogers for 2nd in SF1 of 2 (2nd overall), and 2:06.75 for Grosse Pte. South MI soph Ersula Farrow for 3rd in SF2 (6th overall), both advancing to final. Rogers was originally 3rd in SF1, then two were DQ'd and one reinstated. It's the 2nd straight WYC where two Americans have made the final after no finalists ever before

  • G-High Jump Final: 5-8.75 for Lawrence Free State KS jr Alexa-Harmon Thomas in 10th, tying the 2nd best placing by a U.S. high jumper at WYC
  • G-Heptathlon Final: 3,275 Day 1 pts for Lawrence Free State KS jr Alexa-Harmon Thomas in 10th. Her marks were 14.08 100H(-1.9w)(6th), 5-8.75 HJ (3rd), 34-3 SP(36th) and 25.58 200(-1.1w)(8th)
  • B-Hammer Final: 232-10 by Providence Catholic NC jr Colin Minor for 12th

  • B-Pole Vault Qualifying: 15-11 for Sumner LA jr Devin King for 1st overall, and 15-11 for El Paso Franklin soph Paulo Benavides for 7th overall, both advancing to final
  • G-200m Dash Qualifying: 23.72(-1.6ww) by Long Beach Poly CA jr Ariana Washington to win H1 of 7 (3rd overall), and 23.80(-1.3w) by Hannah Cunliffe WA to win H1 (7th overall), both advancing to semis.
  • B-200m Dash Qualifying: 21.28(-0.6w) for T.C. Williams VA frosh Noah Lyles for 2nd in H8 of 13 (5th overall), advancing to semis. DNS for Papillon-La Vista NE jr Kenzo Cotton (injury)
  • G-Hammer Qualifying: 195-9 for Grady GA jr Nyla Woods for 21st overall, not advancing to final
