Olympic Silver Medalist Lilesa and 2015 New York City Marathon Winner Biwott Added to 2017 Chicago MarathonBy Adam Kopet Feyisa Lilesa and Stanley Biwott were announced as late additions to the men's field for the 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in a press release. Lilesa captured the silver medal in last year's Olympic marathon for Ethiopia. He has twice finished on the podium of the Chicago Marathon, finishing third in 2010 and second in 2012. His personal best of 2:04:52 came in the 2012 race. Biwott, of Kenya, won the 2015 New York City Marathon and finished second in the 2016 London Marathon. He ran 2:03:51 in the latter, making him the #7 marathon runner of all-time. This is Biwott's Chicago Marathon debut.
