Nike Names Building After IAAF President Sebastian CoePublished by
New Nike Building To Be Named After IAAF PresidentBy Adam Kopet Matt Lawton and the Daily Mail reports IAAF President Sebastian Coe will have a building named after him on the Nike World Headquarters campus. Coe won two gold medals in Nike shoes and served as an ambassador for Nike until 2015. He ended the ambassador relationship in 2015 after he became IAAF President amid conflict of interest concerns. The building is a six-story office building with about 475,000 square feet of space. Nike is currently completing a large expansion of its Portland area headquarters. The Daily Mail reports a spokesperson for Coe said Nike's decision to name the building in Coe's honor does not signify a rekindling in Coe's relationship with the sportswear giant. Coe has taken the IAAF in a new direction following the corruption and money laundering claims against former IAAF President Lamine Diack. Prior to 2015, Coe served as IAAF Vice President. More news |
