Japan Prime Minister Says Olympic Games Will Go On As ScheduledPublished by
Shinzo Abe Determined For Games To Proceed In July By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor As the Coronavirus pandemic rages on, it may seem like wishful thinking that the Olympic Games scheduled for July in Tokyo, Japan will proceed without any adjustment. But on Saturday, Japanese Prime Minister Abe pledged to keep the Games on schedule in spite of the infection that has affected nearly every country on the planet. The Olympics may be just far enough in the future that their feasability in a crisis that is occurring right now is still in doubt. The International Olympic Committee will work closely with the World Health Organization to ultimately make a decision. It may take another month before anything regarding the Olympics becomes clear again. There's nothing wrong with hope.
