Star Sprinter Ready To Return In 2022 After 18-Month Suspension

By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Christian Coleman is expected to make his return to professional track Jan. 29 at the Millrose Games in New York.

Coleman, who was served an 18-month suspension for whereabouts failures and missed last summer's Olympic Games in Tokyo, told Reuters, "I think it will be emotional to come back here and finally show my worth again."

Coleman has vehemently denied using banned substances but was ultimately handed a ban for flouting the anti-doping rules.

The 2019 world champion in the 100-meter dash last competed at the 2020 USATF Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M.

Coleman, 25, is the indoor world record holder in the 60 meters at 6.34 seconds.
