John Nepolitan's Favorite Photos of 2024

By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor

Photographer John Nepolitan is an invaluable member of the DyeStat coverage team and was at events all year long, capturing stirring images for our photo galleries and illustrating our stories.

Here are 10 of his best photos from 2024, a small sample of the 74,000-plus that were taken by DyeStat photographers during the year. (Ten, because that's as many as we can attach to an article).

John shoots everything important at The Armory in New York and also covers numerous championship events on the East coast and anywhere else.

The biggest star of high school season was Quincy Wilson (Bullis, Md).  It has been known early on he was a future star, but few could have predicted what he did at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

Josh Kerr may have had the best post-race celebration after repeating as 5th Ave Mile champion.

Hobbs Kessler kicked off his break out season with a win at the New Balance Indoor GP winning the 1500 over 2022 World 1500m Champion Jake Wightman.

Ukrainian star Yaroslava Mahuchikh achieved the first 2-meter jump by a woman at the Armory when she cleared that height at the Millrose Games.

“I’ll see you in the final – no I will meet YOU in the final” – Liam Murphy and Parker Stokes may be rivals during the collegiate season, but they celebrated together when they realized they both were moving onto the Olympic Trials 1,500 meters final.
