Norwegian Star Takes Another Second Off Indoor Mile Record By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Diamond League photo Yared Nuguse's historic world record in the Wanamaker Mile last Saturday at the 117th Millrose Games lasted all of five days. Jakob Ingebrigtsen went after the record Thursday at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold meeting in Lievin, France and ran more than a second faster, crossing the finish line in 3:45.14. Ingebrigtsen also took down the 1,500 meters world record with 3:29.63. Nuguse wrote, on Instagram: "You win some you lose some, was a lit 5 days." Ingebrigtsen also owns the world records in the outdoor 2,000 meters (4:43.13) and 3,000 meters (7:17.55) and 2 miles (7:54.10).
