With just over a week to go before nationals, there aren't many chances left to impact the national leaderboard.

Tuesday's Eastern States Championships at The Armory provided an opportunity, especially with competitive DMR fields.

Brody Watt and John Richardson of Bernards NJ both finished in the top three of the 1,600 meters at last weekend's NJSIAA Group 2 Championships and those drove the team to US#2 on Tuesday with a DMR victory in 10;08.72. Watt anchored in 4:12.

North Rockland NY finished second with US#8 10:16.62 with Ryan Tuohy leading off and Marc Claudel Chery on the anchor.

Ridgewood NJ won the girls DMR with US#9 12:15.89.

Julia Santos from Toms River South NJ won the girls shot put with a US#6 mark of 48-6.50.

Jasmine Jackson of Winslow Township NJ won the girls 55-meter hurdles with a US#14 time of 7.97 seconds. She also finished second in the 200 (24.58), behind Janelia Williams of Paul Robeson NY (24.15).

The Cherokee NJ girls put together a US#15 time of 9:21.64 to win th 4x800 relay.

Seven Garcia from Hackensack NJ ran a time of 1:53.38 to edge out Alex Pelov of Montivlle Township NJ (1:53.45) to win the boys 800.

New Jersey MOC runner-up Arden Grey of Franklin (Somerset) won the girls triple jump with 39-0.75.
