Three Paralympic Events added to this year's Nike Outdoor NationalsPublished by
April 28, 2025 Westwood, MA - The National Scholastic Athletics Foundation is pleased to announce that Paralympic events will be offered at the 2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals for the first time in meet history. To reach more high school athletes, the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation (NSAF) has added three events to the Nike Outdoor Nationals that will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, OR, June 19-22. “With the rising popularity of para athletics at the high school level, plus the US Paralympics Track & Field program officially joining USA Track & Field (USATF), the NSAF felt it was the perfect time to add two track events and one field event to the Nike Outdoor Nationals,” said NSAF CEO Josh Rowe. “ We are excited to have para athletes compete at Hayward Field, the site of past and future World Athletics Championships and USA Olympic Trials. We hope this will provide a pathway for aspiring para athletes to earn national recognition as we look forward to Los Angeles hosting the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics.” Para athletes may compete in the wheelchair and ambulatory divisions. The 100 meter will be contested on Friday and the 400 meter and shot put on Saturday. Para athletes interested in competing in the Nike Outdoor Nationals may go to the meet webpage found HERE.
