With the Cornwall NY track in the middle of a resurfacing the 23rd Cornwall Steeplefest, which has featured a national record in past editions, moved down to the road Monroe-Woodbury High, but the performances once again had marks that moved to the top of the national list.

New York state Class D cross country champion Anna Furman (Tri-Valley NY) went directly to the lead and was never challenged on her way to a new US#3 in the 2-kilometer steeplechase with 6:51.48.

Moving up through the field throughout, Gaby Castro (North Rockland NY) finished second with US#7 7:05.39.

Van Furman of Tri-Valley, a 2024 NXN and Foot Locker Nationals qualifier, followed his sister's lead and jumped right to the front of the boys 3,000-meter steeplechase and was never challenged.

The Georgetown commit was unable to take down the 9:19.1 meet record (Terence Prail of Warwick NY from 2007), but he did run a new US #1 with 9:22.62.
