Newbury Park High seniors Nico Young and Jace Aschbrenner both ran under the 3-mile course record at Pepper Tree Playfields to help the Panthers take the top two spots and seven of the top 11 places in a 19-43 victory over Thousand Oaks at the first Marmonte League meet in Newbury Park, Calif. Young clocked 14:08.82 and Aschbrenner ran 14:19.51 for Newbury Park, which also eclipsed its previous team record by running 74:07, an improvement from a 74:58 effort from last year's league championship meet.
