Niwot won its second consecutive girls 4A team title with 37 points at the Colorado High School Activities Association state championships at Norris Penrose Events Center in Colorado Springs. Samrawit Dishon led the Cougars by winning the individual crown, clocking 18:11.9 on the 5-kilometer layout. Niwot had five scorers in the top 13, including Amelia Philofsky (18:45.6) taking sixth, Madison Shults (18:56.9) placing 10th, Taylor James (18:59.8) finishing 11th and Joelle McDonald (19:05.1) securing 13th. Eva Klingbeil (20:00.3) was 41st and Eva Lennert (20:16.9) took 50th for Niwot, which was the top team overall in the merge of all classifications. The Cougars also lowered their overall team time of 95:05 from last year to 93:59 this season.
