Mira Costa CA repeated as Bay League girls team champions with a 37-39 victory over Palos Verdes CA at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach, Calif. Despite competing without reigning champion Dalia Frias, the Mustangs still placed five scorers in the top 11 and all seven athletes in the top 17 on the 3-mile course. Tia Pappas finished fifth in 18:38.1, Kayla Kershaw secured sixth in 18:39.2, Pnina Tofler was seventh in 18:49, Ella Parsley achieved eighth in 18:57.6 and Jasmin Peterman placed 11th in 19:12.40 for Mira Costa, which had Piper Newton in 13th in 19:37.8 and Julia Vazquez in 17th in 19:52.6 to capture a fourth team title in eight years.
