Nike professional Sandi Morris captured her third career indoor pole vault title with a third-attempt clearance at 16-0.75 (4.90m) at the Toyota USATF Indoor Championships at Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Morris, who also won in 2016-17, edged seven-time indoor champion Jenn Suhr, who cleared 15-11 (4.85m). It marked the fifth time in her indoor career that Morris cleared at least 16 feet, including the first time in consecutive meets, making her the first female athlete to achieve the feat since Suhr in 2016.
