Nike professionals, training partners and former USC teammates Michael Norman and Rai Benjamin discuss with DyeStat editors Doug Binder and Erik Boal the absence of the annual USC-UCLA dual meet for the first time in 87 years, how they've adapted their training during the Coronavirus pandemic and their reflections on last year's World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Benjamin, who attended high school at Mount Vernon in New York, shared details about his family and friends being near the New Rochelle area that was significantly affected by COVID-19. Norman, whose mother is of Japanese descent, talks about the impact of postponing the Olympics and using the opportunity to learn how to speak the language better. Both athletes also revisit the January 26 death of Kobe Bryant and how that impacted them both on a personal level, as well as the Los Angeles community where they live.
