Orchard Park NY graduate and Kent State signee Leah Pasqualetti, representing Warsaw Pole Vault Club, tied for fourth place competing against professional athletes with a first-attempt clearance at 14-1.25 (4.30m) at the Acadia Invitational in Piedmont, S.C. It marked the fifth time this year, including the third time outdoors, that Pasqualetti had cleared at least 14 feet. It was also the first official event showcased on the UCS Spirit "Pink Panther" pit, with American Sandi Morris and her father Harry building the new facility in the spring during the Coronavirus pandemic. Pasqualetti, who boasts the national prep and American U-20 all-time outdoor marks at 14-8.25 (4.48m), was the only prep athlete competing in the field.
