Clemson students Colin Gallagher, Kam Jones and Danny Shaunessy join DyeStat editor Doug Binder to discuss the Nov. 4 announcement that the men's cross country and track and field programs will be cut at the conclusion of the 2020-21 school year. Gallagher and Jones are graduate students who have helped to lead and organize an effort to save the program and senior Danny Shaughnessy, the captatin of the cross country team and a South Carolina native, is leading the effort as well. The students talk about the challenges of waging an effort to reverse the decision, the financial problems at play, and how men's track and field has been targeted because it comprises three sports and not just one.
